Sludge Play was a new experimental play translating the epidemic of ‘sludge content’ to the stage for the 2023 Playground Festival of New Student Work at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
Sludge play was presented as the world's first ‘Durational Attention Symphony’ in which every minute a new group of actors came onstage to mimic a piece of sludge content (reaction videos, sleep streams, subway surfers, etc), slowly drowning out two podcast hosts sharing an entertaining anecdote.
